 Healthy Habits of Ayurveda

Ayurveda is the sister science of Yoga and it's first focus is on optimal Gut Health by resetting the body's natural circadian rhythm.

During this session I will impart how the body is aligns to the moon and sun cycles for health and how this resets our internal chemistry and circadian circuits. 

During this introductory session, I will share with you
  • What is the body's natural biorhythm
  • Ayurvedic view of the health it's relation to the day and night cycles
  • How Ayurveda views digestion and elimination to reset gut bacteria,
  • The importance of understanding the tongue and elimination
  • And the additional benefits of aligning the body to Ayurvedic Rhythm

What is Vedic Circle? In Sanskrit these sessions are known as Satsang which means a gathering of wise ones.  

We explore the traditions and wisdom of Yoga and Ayurveda to help navigate us in daily life from a place of inner wisdom, authenticity, resilience and vitality.

In the ashram in India, our guru would impart Vedic wisdom in bite-size gems to focus on and reflect on and here we do the same.

The session includes meditation, applied wisdom and Q&A.

BODY BREATH PRACTICE L1

This is the first of two session design to teach you body breath sequence that builds the foundations of your home yoga, breathing and meditation practice.

During these 4 weeks you will learn about:
  • The physiology of the breath and the impact on the body and brain functionality,

  • Step by step guide to correct your breathe

Ayurveda indicates there are 3 constitutions Vata, Pitta and Kapha, referred to as dosha's.  Our mind and body process life, food, sleep, exercise, relationship & moods differently based on the interplay of these Doshas. 

The doshas behave differently during the day and night as well as at the change of each season.  Once we understand life through the lens of Ayurveda and dosha's then we are better placed in designing our diet and our lifestyle.

During these 4 week, you will learn the unique representation of each dosha,  how your body looks and feels base on the predominance of these, the state of your digestive fire and what food groups you eat from.    Once you see and understand this, you will start to understand what to do to feel lighter in your body, know how to lose weight, how to energise your body and know which exercise best suits you. ​

One of the gifts of Ayurveda is the wisdom of  Timeless Rhythms which helps balance our bio-rhythms.  

Bio-rhythms relates to the efficiency of our circadian rhythms, which set the rate of our breath, heartbeat,  how we digest food, how well sleep, the functions of our nervous system and endocrine (hormonal) system and the list goes on. 

When these functions are in harmony we start to feel our life flowing, we move with ease amongst a hard day and improve our immune function, essentially we can pass through turbulent times with calmness.  

During this  workshop, we will explore the deeper aspect of these Rhythm and why aligning your lifestyle to these rhythms are essential in today's conflicting times.
