What is Yoga Therapy?
Yoga Therapy is the application of Yogic and Ayurvedic healing principles to bring alignment your physical, mental, emotional, intuitive and psychic body.
We are not simply a physical body. Our body is connected to the state of our mind and emotion and therefore Yoga Therapy considers the physiology together with yogic psychology and ancient philosophy as they are inclusive factors to our entire wellbeing. The Yogic aspect considers breath, movement and stillness to bring a sense of clarity, focus and ease, whilst Ayurvedic aspect will consider your diet, lifestyle, cellular vitality, self care, sleep, hormonal fluctuations, metabolism, digestion and the nervous system. Together these two sister science provide a solid platform to activate our inherent healing mechanism and reconnect us to to the pulsation of our own lives. |
When we are overwhelmed, feel anxious, back pain, unable to sleep or have IBS, it is said we have lost this integrity, which brings us to stage 1 of disharmony. Unaddressed and prolonged we arrive at stage 2, and 3, which is a diagnosed disease, from autoimmune, heart conditions, skin conditions, endocrine disorders, menopause, migraines, depression and the list goes on.
When are at stage 2 and 3, our performance at work and home are compromised, dissatisfaction arrives together with low self-esteem, low self-confidence and a multitude of other depleting sensations. This is what I refer to a messy cycle. By applying prescribed Yogic and Ayurvedic principles, we move to into a sacred cycle of health and vitality.
